Formulae

To measure the unknown inductance(having some resistance) by using standard capacitance
Equivalent Impedance:

z1 = l1 + r1 + r3

z2 = r2+`frac (r4* (r5+c1)) (r5+r4+c1) `

` Z_(eq) = frac (z1*z2)(z1+z2)`
Cureent Through the battery is:
`I_(Bt) = frac(V) (Z_(eq)) `
If Bridge is Balanced:

Voltage difference between galvanometer terminals: 0

Current through the galvanometer: 0

` r = frac(r2*r3)(r4) -r1`

` l=frac(c1*r3)(r4)*(r2*r4+r5*(r2+r4))`

INSTRUCTIONS

Andersion Bridge
    •Pick up four resistances, two inductors and a AC voltage source from the toolbox.
    •Connect the elements as shown in the figure to form Maxwell Bridge.
    •After making the circuit click on check circuit button to check the connections.
    •Now Enter the the value of R2, R3, Volatge and Frequency and try to make deflection in meter close to zero.
    •Calculate the value of inductance using the formula given and check the value using the check button.
    •Enter the value untill the bridge gets balanced.
    •Click on submit button to add it into observation table.
    •Repeat the Experiment for new generated value of inductance.
    •PS. You can also try to listen the detector sound.
